Union Street
Today we strolled down Union Street in the beautiful Pacific Heights neighborhood of SF.
Victorian in Setting - Charm of Long Ago...
Union Street offers all the charm and services of an old-fashioned shopping street where you could find virtually anything you need on foot. The Union Street Shopping District contains some of the City's best eateries, art galleries, fine jewelry stores and trendy boutiques.
The street is long, so plan on spending at least half a day exploring up and down the street - don't forget to miander up and down the cross streets as well - you will find some real gems off the beaten track. Breakfast, lunch or dinner at the great restaurants and cafes will definitely spike the enjoyment of your shopping day!

I like to take my friends who come to visit shopping on Union (remember, Steph and Candace?). This is also where we saw Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner about a year ago (although Tom still thinks it was J-Lo -- he is a little behind the times).
We had brunch at a nice little French place.
We had cappuccino
And a bowl of cafe au lait (??)
In SF, your dog can dine with you (and wear a fashionable red sweater - that one next to him must be embarrassed to be naked).
Isn't this against the health code? I often say there are no cats in SF. However, we saw this cute little tortoise shell in a storefront window. I guess they stay inside to avoid all the dogs.
On the way home we saw the GPS guided tour cars. Tom thinks they are dorky. I think they would be pretty fun for a tourist.
We also saw a few other SF staples:

ReplyDeleteCats in store windows are one of my favorite things! I can think of at least 3 stores in Denver with store cats--including an independent book store that sells your dad's books!
ReplyDeleteI love San Fran! Especially the BOWL of coffee....
