Wedding of the Decade

I would have said, "Wedding of the Century," but my wedding occurred within the 21st century and I can't give this one the prize, although it came close. The wedding of my good friends Olga and Matt was one of the most relaxing, beautiful, and enjoyable weddings I have ever attended. Of course, that has a lot to do with me getting to spend the weekend with some of my best friends, but also because it occurred in Lake Tahoe with its gorgeous scenery and weather. For those of you unfortunate enough not to have been able to attend, here is a brief photo run-down of the weekend.

We checked into our room at the lovely Hyatt Resort with this beautiful view.

We then headed out to the beach for a drink and sunset at the pier bar.

The next day was the rehearsal in the elegant water gardens

followed by dinner, toasts, and good company.

We spent the first several evenings in the hotel casino, although no photography is allowed there, so there is no evidence of our antics. I was excited to have won $25 on the Sex and the City slot machine!

The next day, the girls spent an early morning getting spruced up for the wedding festivities.

Then, it was off to a delicious bridal party luncheon al fresco in the perfect weather.

Super-stars!

Finally, the big moment arrived. The ceremony went off without a hitch in the pretty, intimate setting. Even the little ones did a perfect job!

The beautiful bride with her uncle and father.

The ring exchange

and a big kiss!

Mr. and Mrs. Franke

and attendants.

The reception was delightful with dancing,

great food,

and more stunning views and good company.

I wish it hadn't ended so quickly! Maybe a vow renewal next year??
