Something Normal

Last week, although we didn't feel much like getting out, Dad and I went out to do something normal, at least for him.  He has a short story in a new book called Dead But Not Forgotten: Stories From the World of Sookie Stackhouse.  The book is a collection of short stories by authors (other than Sookie's creator, Charlaine Harris) paying tribute to Sookie and her world.  Murder By The Book was hosting a book signing and panel discussion with a few of the authors and editors.

The panel of authors/editors:  Bill Crider, Charlaine Harris, Toni Kelner, Rachel Caine, and Nicole Peeler.

Dad, telling a little bit about his story. Each author chose a character from the Sookie Stackhouse books to write about, and Dad chose Bubba.

I know we won't feel good or normal for a long, long time, but doing something familiar and being with nice people and friends was somewhat comforting.
